Post » Thu Oct 13, 2011 1:30 pm

So I just bought a brand new Gaming rig and I bought it for Graphics, Mods, and so on. But where do i get these mods. Is their somekind of website for mods and such. I need to know for when Skyrim is out i want to be ready so i dont have to fool around with this stuff.
If their is some other place for this thread or it is already made can you post me a link, thanks.

Easy there, chief. The game isn't out yet so there's no mods. I've heard that skyrimnexus.com is rarin' to go tho. Apparently it'll be kept separate from the tesnexus site.

The Nexus is an network of independant websites, hosting mods for a variety of games.

http://www.tesnexus.com/ = Morrowind and Oblivion
http://fallout3nexus.com/index.php = Fallout 3
http://www.newvegasnexus.com/s = Fallout: New Vegas
http://www.skyrimnexus.com/ = Skyrim :)

They also have sites for the Dragon Age games, and The Witcher.

There's also planet elder scrolls which has most of the same mods and is much better for big mods due to higher download speed.

On my iPhone so linking is annoying but generally TES Nexus and Planet Elder Scrolls are the two best sites.

I remember downloading the very first of them from 2ch, made by Japanese.
At that time there's none of these mods on nexus, somehow there are a lot now :hubbahubba:

Erm guys, the games not out yet. Do you remember back to Morrowind, when PES was king, and when Oblivion came out, TESNexus rised above PES? Just because TESNexus did it in the future does not mean they will be the only ones to do it now. Best bet is to wait until the game comes out and ask the same question.

Not to mention while TESnexus has a nice quantity of mods, there's still many that aren't there.

In my opinion skyrim nexus would be the best, I use TES nexus for all my oblivion and morrowind mods so I would imagine that skyrim nexus is my choice.

The Nexus is the big one and it looks like a Skyrim one is on it's way. Does this mean our TES Nexus accounts won't transfer over to the Skyrim Nexus?

I download those body mods for the armor that goes with it only. And not the kinky stuff B)

Really surprised how people don't seem to know about PES?

TES Nexus was also hacked and is missing a lot of pictures aswell as having a really annoying top 100 when trying to choose between Morrowind and Oblivion, while PES has a really annoying picture system and sometimes links you to fileshare sites.

I mean I use them both but I would argue PES is just as good as Nexus.

Don't worry. The mods will be easy to find. Any time someone releases a mod, they will link the site where it can be downloaded.

Skyrimnexus.com once Skyrim is out. BUT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU PLAY THROUGH THE GAME WITHOUT MODS FIRST! This way you will know what changes you want in the game.
