Dongle's Secret Resources

Post » Thu Oct 13, 2011 3:59 pm

Most people involved with modding or who have tried mods out at all have heard of Dongle. Dongle was a skilled modder who was very active in Morrowind modding until 2009. He released mods such as the Ranger Tent and his amazing Battlespire mod. If you have ever seen anything written in a Daedric or Dwemer font outside of the game, it most likely came from the desk of Dongle. However, Dongle is perhaps best known for the numerous resources he released for modders.

Well, that isn't everything Dongle made for Morrowind. I have recently been in contact with Dongle and he agreed to give me control over a complete set of his mods and resources which he made for Morrowind. Many of which never made it into public releases. And let me just say that these are some awesome resources!

From the mouth of the man himself:
Anyway, at the time, I scoured up absolutely everything I had done - whether
it was on my old website or not, whether I liked the final result or not,
whether I told whomever I made it for originally it would be for their
exclusive use or not.

And, here it all is for you:

As I said, Dongle gave me permission to upload the complete set of his mods and resources. Since I am choosing to do so, I want to make it very clear that we all need to pay careful attention to Dongle's permissions and usage policies given in the individual readmes and follow them to the letter. Obviously this is a good guideline to follow even for his mods located all over various mod sites right now.

I have uploaded all the files to the Great House Fliggerty Downloads area. His mods are all under the new Dongle subsection of the Featured Modders area which Fliggerty was so gracious as to create for this set of files. Many of these you may have seen before, but there are quite a few which have never been publicly released and are absolutely worth checking out!

Note: The mods which begin with DGL are resources, consult the respective readmes for complete usage information. But for the most part, these are free to do whatever you want with in Morrowind.

Enjoy!

Oh, this is wonderful! Many thanks to Dongle for digging these all up and sharing them, and equal thanks to you, Melchior, for gathering them together and uploading them.

Thank you for uploading these. The cane mesh will come in handy in the Big City mod. :-)
