Tolkien's universe is nothing like TES universe. They are both seperate, fictional and I dont understand why people link them together.

A lot of Tolkien's lore is based on the old Nordic Sagas and Nordic Mythology, and Skyrim is based on Viking lore, so it's not totally unrelated, however, the elves bit is pretty far apart. Tolkien's Elvish language is based on Gaelic, so you can go look up old Gaelic names.

It's not lore, and I don't wish so start a war, I just don't understand the link in people's minds between the lord if the rings and the elder scrolls.
And don't worry, I won't use it.
Its also against forum rules to call others trolls,.... Just so you know.

Ok, I'm going to guess you have little to no knowledge of mythology, folklore and the different representations of elves throughout the world by almost every major civilisation, but I suppose you're probably happy with your ignorance.
Call them the same thing if you will, but don't imply I'm stupid just because I have more background knowledge on the subject then you do.

Here is a list of Viking names that were actually used during the viking age here in Scandinavia:

www.drago.dk/inter/viking/vikingnavne.htm

The upper ones are female names, the lower ones are male names.

TES elves =/= Tolkien elves, but the viking name generator was nice. I'll probably use it for one of my nords.

Also, here is a working link to the elvish translator if anyone was interested, despite it not being TES:

Seems to me like you created a random thread, did not use a proper link and then used someone elses effort all in the attempt to what? Flamebait or trying to be helpful but not.

I mean that in a nice way and am not trying to create offence. I rather enjoyed the viking translator :)
