nah sammu played the 15 min demo said there are still psychic townspeople but that may hve been resolved

I'm sure it was confirmed by Todd or someone that it was fixed.

I'm anticipating the Oblivion housing system copied and pasted in Skyrim. They even mention that you buy furniture (likely furniture "sets") from someone in the Jarl's castle.

I'd like there to be some 'cabin in the woods' option too, perhaps with a mini quest to get it.

Yes, it would be interesting, and rewarding to find a significant other and get a home as the result of completing various quests.

That cabin in the woods with a cozy fireplace, and all the required goodies would be quite nice.

The mead hall, suggested by SwedishBerzerker, sound good. I have been thinking about a Viking sytle longhouse, and a mead hall just might work.

If I have to build my own, I will probably choose an enviroment like the Fall Forest. However, other areas in the countryside could be interesting.

That statement has to be false remember that screenshot we saw of the house in the forest that was a player owned home it wasn't in a city at all.
