Skyrim and Seasonal Affective Disorder

Post » Fri Oct 14, 2011 6:40 am

Looking at videos and screenshots, Skyrim seems unrelentingly gloomy. The most sunshine I could find was in http://cdnstatic.gamesas.com/akqacms/files/tes/screenshots/ForestHunt_wLegal.jpg. Will the sun ever shine down in its unabashed clear sky Arizona on the 4th of July glory? Another way of putting it, will the clouds and mist clear out every once in a while for some variety and contrast? I'm all for atmosphere and mood, but wouldn't want Dhovakiin to get http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seasonal_affective_disorder :) Not a big deal. Just curious.

Skyrim was intended to look rugged and cold- just like the homeland of the nords should look. But in my opinion- the sun will shine from time to time.

Go above the clouds.

There's your blue sky.

Thanks! Feeling better already. Looks like I won't need the Psychiatrist's Guild after all -- unless 150 dungeons worth of darkness drive me to madness.
