I got to choose the type of pie. Pumpkin is both delicious and seasonal.

aww you tease me with the deliciousness :sadvaultboy:
Add anything else added such as whip cream, etc? (that would make us all jealous)

has any one thought about the amount of cut scenes that would have took time out of those 2+ hrs?
there had to have been atleast 2 ... mayb alot more

Yes, TES games are well known for their long cutscenes in the middle of the game.

Which you can't do without Sunder and Keening, which you need Wraithguard to safely use (they damage health too fast for low level chars without it equipped). The only way to get Wraithguard without taking the time to compelte the Nerevarine trials is to kill Vivec and take it to Yagrum Bagarn (at which point it will take off 200+ from your max health, which would also kill low level chars). And the only way to get into the Heart Chamber is to beat Dagoth Ur in the adjacent room to open the door.

Also, in Oblivion you had to fight Mankar Camoran in Paradise to get the Amulet, to in turn get Martin named Emperor and trigger the final quest stages.

Sorry but you are mistaken. You can do it without wrathguard via exploits (not the console)

You can get by without Wraithguard - go watch the speed runs on youtube.

I have and they involve exploits... either stacking intelligence bufs to make better intelligence bufs to make super god potions, or exploiting an engine bug to permanently buf skills and attributes.

With exploits, yeah, but that's cheating so it's not comparable to this Skyrim speedrun (where they said they didn't allow cheats).

Er, what's false? The scaling in TES4 was one of the most universally disliked aspects of the game. I think it's fair to be a bit worried about it when approaching TES5.

And yes, you do make a good point. Perhaps the speedrunners found Umbra (or its new equivalent in Skyrim) and were able to power through the game at a low level using that. That I have no problem with. If that is what happened, I have no worries or complaints. If they killed a high level final boss at level 4 using godly weapons and armor - that's cool. I don't mind. Stuff like that exists for power-gamers to blast through.

However, I do mind the possibility of Alduin (or other serious boss) leveling down to 4 and being killed by a scrubby adventurer in starting armor. If that's what happened, I'm scared that the game won't really hold any challenge and that any remotely serious encounter will be trivialized due to it always scaling down to my level.

I hope you can understand that I am not bashing Skyrim... just voicing my concerns with potential level scaling.

Yeah but you're assuming that you can beat the game at level 4.. they did a speed run..

You don't fight a major boss in Oblivion or Morrowind to beat the game.. I guess I just don't understand the concerns with the speed run.. level scaling isn't what this thread is about so I don't know, I just thought you were concerned they beat it in such a short time at level 4. Which is weird if you know how speed runs work.
