I am running a short (5-10 mins) survey of game modders, their sense of community, and their motivations. The survey runs through Oct 19th.
The survey is here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Y7DRNL5
Three randomly chosen respondents will win a $20 Amazon gift card (if you fill out the whole thing and submit your email address) as a random thank you.
The survey is for people who make game mods, not people who use them but don't make them.
Who am I? Why am I running a survey? I'm a researcher, ex-professor, and a gamer. There hasn't been a lot of work done on modders, and since Bethesda has some great interviews online I wanted to team that up with some survey data. More about me here: https://sites.google.com/site/natpoor/ and you can see my Xbox gamertag with a bunch of the Bethesda games: http://www.xboxgamertag.com/search/natpoor/ (yes no mods, I know). The first page of the survey has more about all that.
The survey has also been mentioned at Ambrosia: http://www.ambrosiasw.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=130891
and Sports Mogul: http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php?208062-Modding-Community-Survey&p=1573304#post1573304
I know cross-posting is somewhat frowned upon generally, but I'm going to post this in both the Oblivion and Fallout mods boards, since I think that makes the most sense.
Thanks for your help,
Nat Poor.
