Just realized this, why are all town guards in oblivion imperials? The ones at Kvatch had a High Elf guard but what about skyrim? Different races as guards you think? just pondering... this is a mediocre question but its been burning since I've realized.

Probably had a pre-made model lying around, slapped some town armour on it and mass produced. :shrug:

Maybe it depends on who the town is controlled by? Maybe 1 town will be controlled by the imperial legion, the other by the native nords?

Imperial guards we're mostly, but not exclusively, Imperials - which makes sense considering that Cyrodiil is an Imperial province. Even in Morrowind the Imperial guards were almost exclusively Imperial. I wouldn't expect it to be different in Skyrim, but I'm expecting a larger presences of Nords in the guards since it is, y'know, Skyrim

they are a member of the imperial legion, in the imperial capital of tamriel so wouldnt it make sense that they were imperials?

The Imperial Legion doesn't just consist of imperials though,...
