With perks giving soul traping for killing blows and for bound weapons do you think Umbra should get a different enchantment to make it more unique? Do you think it still a great enchantment for those who won't be putting perks into enchanting or conjuration? I wouldn't mind an absorb health enchantment. Also what type of weapon do you want umbra to be? (In Morrowind it was a 2 handed claymore and Oblivion was a 1 handed sword.) I'd like it stay a 1 handed sword or make it a 1 handed axe. Would changing it too much make it not Umbra?

A drain health/magicka enchantment would be nice. It should be a claymore, and stay a claymore.

If Umbra is in I would very much like to see it "Mold" to your skills. If you character is One-hander...Its a one handed weapon.

If you have selected the Axe perks, it's a One-handed axe.

This is just for when you initially find/earn Umbra of course.

The TES novels strongly suggest that Umbra the sword no longer exists, from what I've heard.

Umbra itself should be a soul gem like Azura's star except it can only capture man/mer souls.

Uh...the new books conclude with an ending that makes it clear that if Umbra were to appear, the events of what happened would be greatly diminished.

Seriously, if you haven't read Lord of Souls yet, just know that Umbra shouldn't appear.

Umbra, the soul powering Umbra the sword, escaped....so Umbra the weapon should be no more.

Might be interesting to meet the real Umbra though.
