But isnt bleak falls barrow right next to riverwood aswell?

I think im right in saying Bleak Falls is "after" Riverwood, and this would be indicated north on the map? The 'X' is south... ?

It could be the barrow, we dont exactly see him look on the map as he was going to the borrow. Like i said it the barrow is right next the throat.
Saying that the X is on that mountain which happens to be right next to the throat.

Just because, someone is walking forward doesnt means there walking north.
