Constant Crash Problem

Post » Sat Oct 15, 2011 7:27 am

I've just recently started a new game, and have the same mods installed last time around, however I'm having an issue with the Strip. I have New Vegas Restoration, and I know its quite the demanding mod, but I've used it before and had no issues with it, as far as crashes. However, this playthrough, I cannot leave Tops without an instant crash. I have the 4gb patch, and I have noticed when I use task manager, the New Vegas process is using more than 4 gigs, so clearly thats the problem, but I'm just so confused. I dont want to leave NVR out of my game, I see it as essential.

Thanks

EDIT: Found that I can coc out and then re entering the Strip does not crash my game, but I would really like some advice to ensure my game is more stable in scenarios such as this.

Turn down texture resolution, at least until you get out of the strip? If you're just running out of memory, I'd hope that that would be enough.

The problem now is that I'm getting loading loops when I'm trying to load my save now. :brokencomputer:

So frustrating :(

EDIT: I have 6 gigs of RAM, theres not a 6gb patch anywhere? :(
