Pretty silly post to be honest.

I played Morrowind on xbox back in 02'. I was 10. After creating a character or 2, I understood the system.

The difference between Oblivion and Morrowind simply requires a simple tweak: No level scaling. It deteriorated any semblance of an rpg system. My little sister beat Oblivion's main quest at level 1.

I suppose a few of Morrowind's skills need to be added back. Medium armor was the "shiz", and I'd generally use it when I had a mage/ranger type character.

To answer the OP (What does OP even mean?!) not all console players are kiddies and idiots.

I am a console player, and I LOVE complexity and freedom. I love difficulty and challenge as well.

Are you implying that everyone who plays console is a little kid? A find this thread a wee bit aggressive. And trust me, If I had the money, I wouldn't be playing Oblivion on the 360.

No, I was just using an allegory because kid prefer playing console games to pc games. At least that was how it was when I was a kid.

I'm just saying that a game series like TES, which started as a "hardcoe" first person rpg, ended like a mainstream "want to please all" blockbuster game. In the end, it's all about the money, cause the devs have to make a living, so its more important to them to make a game which will sell then to make a really good game.

(This is not a flame to PC players in general, I mean "certain" people)
Exactly, why can't some of these PC gamers just stop thinking we are the morons who sit and play Call Of Duty all night :shakehead: We can be just as capable of intelligence as they are. I don't think some of them realize that moron children play on PC too :whisper:

I'm not trying to insult anybody.

I'm just saying that the money, unfortunately for the gaming industry today, is where little kids on consoles are.

Today? That's where I was 10 years ago as a little kid, except I was also playing PC games, as well.

You know what I find funny about what I call the "chain of elitism"? Specifically, with Bethesda, you have some Morrowind fans thinking they're mentally superior to Oblivion fans, some Daggerfall fans thinking they're mentally superior to both, some Fallout 1/2 fans thinking they're mentally superior to all Bethesda fans, some PC players that think they're mentally superior to console players, and then... there is my mom, who thinks she's mentally superior to all gamers.

I really dont see how he was insulting each and every console player, i dont even see an insult

Implying that all console gamers are children unable to grasp complicated concepts like "a magic spell that makes you fly" is pretty insulting.

I'm a PC gamer and I thought that was bad. I think Bethesda did a fantastic job with Oblivion, its in my top 3 favorite games no doubt.

While I do agree somewhat, in the sense that they want it to sell, I think they do listen. Its part of our nature and the ways of capitolist america to want to make money. But I think they do a better job putting in features we want than almost any other company out there.....
