Do you think fire will scare away animals?

Most animals retreat from fire, so I thought it might be cool if swinging a torch or using a fire spell at a wolf or something would make it run away. I'd like that because then I wouldn't have to kill the poor thing.

It might be hoping for too much, can't have everything after all, but wouldn't that be great? It would really make the animals seem more lifelike.

We don't need MORE mechanics to help scare away animals. I had a hard enough time trying to not scare away the deer at levels 1-5.

Well, sure
IF
by "fire" you mean fireballs/flaming sword
and by "scare away" you mean turn them into scared corpses

I think lots of magic spells should technically be able to scare animals away, but maybe they're used to that in TES world. Still would be nice if animals might be wary of fire, like try to avoid it at least.

Yeah but they made for good target practice ;)

Doubt it, and tbh I wouldnt want all animals retreating from my predominantly fire-based mage. I want them bbq! Skyrim animals show no fear of fire, check the lore.... ;)
