Knowing me, I probably forget I can block when I use a shield, so I'll just stick with 2 swords, or maybe a sword and an axe.
I'm never too big of a fan of two handed weapons.

You also forgot 1h sword + 1h sword for thief characters. Or other 1h + 1h options that don't involve a spell or dagger

One handed (swords) & shield, archery!

Yeah conjuration is great, I know it will be great in Skyrim as well. 1H Illusion + 1H Conjuration FTW

I thought not many used that kind of combination because there's already a spell that conjures a blue magical shield around the caster (conjuration or Alteration I suppose)

Yes but can you shield bash with it.

You should have acted

In regards to the Intro prophecy thing... I would have acted! The game has not come out yet... Blame the men behind the CODE!

On track, i will be a warrior. As much as i want to be a thief (As my name suggest), i want to try something new. Then i will be a theifish character. Then i will a mage... and after that, probably a Battle Mage... and depending on how much more i want to play (I played 4 characters on New Vegas), my next character will be a necromancer.

Mixture of Mage and Thief, I use Dagger, Bows, and specialize in any kind of magic. :celebration:

Spellsword plain and simple
Sword in one hand and shield/spell in the other
I also will make my character look aged so i can look like i have lived long enough to have wisdom and skill
