[Help] Choosing modds

Post » Mon Oct 17, 2011 2:31 am

Hello guys i decided to play Morrowind, till Skyrim is out. More to see why people talk with such devotion abou the game. But i want to play with some cool mods, nothing game-breaking mind you, but the ones that enchance the experience, gameplay and all that. No texture or graphic improvments either.

So, which ones should i use?

Why in gods name wouldn't you like any graphical enhancers? It's just beyond me. I would NEVER play Morrowind without texture replacers.

Anyhow: http://www.moddb.com/mods/morrowind-rebirth or http://btb2.free.fr/morrowind.html

I don't use any graphical enhancers either. >_>

Apart from the ones Trance linked to, there's also http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=mods.detail&id=2030 , which is pretty neat. Makes the levelling system feel less mechanic and all.

I used http://www.somethingfornobody.com/2011/morrowind-modding-guide/ a lot when I did my last install. I don't use everything there, but I use a lot from it, and having the links all in one place is exceptionally handy.

Also, for the love of little kittens, even if you don't use any other graphic mods, PLEASE use Better Bodies and Better Heads! The vanilla bodies are hideous.

Better idea: Install Better Heads, then install the parts of Westly's Pluginless Replacer currently out on top of it. Not only does the latter do what the former does not, namely staying true to the original feel of the game, but they're of a visually higher quality as well.

The ones currently out can be found in this http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1205154-westlys-head-replacer-links-got-purged-by-the-forums/page__hl__westly.
