Which Language will you use...

I'm French. But English voice acting is usually better in games, so I guess I'll play in English.

I hope we can hear more proper English in Skyrim. In Oblivion there just were too much of Yank-accent.

isnt this an english only forum? so the majority will be chineese

No...
This forum is in English because it's an world-wide spoken language. We aren't all coming from America or England or whatever, just because we got to use English on the forums doesn't mean we have to play games in English.

I am German myself, and a few years ago I would have played any game on German. I will play Skyrim in English though.

English

Although i would love to see a mod created to make certain races utilize specific languages with English subtitles. I know some may find it weird to have Dark elves speaking English, High Elves speaking German, Wood Elves speaking Korean, Japanese, Italian etc etc etc. But I personally would really get into it, I'm sure I'm not alone.

The mod itself would be fairly simple to create (unless you where to completely re-do all the lip-syncing) the biggest challenge would be getting your hands on the localized dubs.

If I have the option to have English subtitles but choose a spoken language, I will totally do that.

Actually it might be fun to use a different spoken language for each character! So my thief will be in a world where everyone speaks French, but my warrior will only hear German. Every Dovahkiin lives in a different universe anyway - why not give them different languages?

I will have to have at least one playthrough with the English v/a though. Just for Lynda Carter.

Depends. Can I change the language if I buy a physical copy of the game? If it's possible, I will use English. If it's not possible, I will use German.

You're prevented from changing the language from your local language to english only *IF* Steam states that the game is unavailable for your country [see http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/9581/fdsfdssdaf.jpg] *AND* your physical copy comes from an authorized local distributor which hasn't provided a way to change the game language, such as 1C for Russia, which is going to sell a localized copy of the game which language can't be changed by any means. See http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1231316-skyrim-region-block-in-russia-steam/

In short:

- if in your country you can buy Skyrim within Steam you'll be able to change the game language, whether you're going to buy the physical copy of the game at your favorite store or its digital copy within Steam
- if in your country you can't buy Skyrim within Steam you'll be able to change the game language only if the local distributor has provided a way to do it

On a side note, people who can't buy Skyrim within Steam in their countries are strongly encouraged to NOT buy a physical copy of the game from an online retailer from another country, as they might be unable to activate it due to Steam using region locking [see http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/0/09/Steam_regional_limitation.PNG]. Refer to the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1241932-unofficial-steamdrm-discussion/ for further information.
