I hope we have that Fall Out Wasteland creepiness

I think we're all very well aware of how well Kanye West empathizes so I can't say I'm terribly surprised.

No thanks, I'd rather roam the lush forests undisturbed.

Fallout 3 without fast travel makes the absolute dive that is Megaton a very welcome sight. I should hope to get the same feeling in Skyrim when returning to civilisation. What is the point of a warm fire, the comfort of your own home, and the welcome of the tavern, if the wilderness isn't scary, dangerous and, without companions, lonely?

saw this, thought it was funny and appropriate :P

"Greetings, dearest Community. This is your president, John Henry Eden, lets chat, shall we. We live in an age of poverty, greed, violence, destruction. Indeed the very seat of the federal government, The skyrim general discussion forum, has been reduced to what is now known as the Forum Wasteland. The Forum Wasteland, how did it come to this Community? How did your leaders allow the most powerful series on Earth to die? The answer is really quite simple. Incompetence. Incompetence at the highest echelons of power. We put our trust, our faith, in halfwits. Our intrepid leaders had everything they wanted; power, wealth, prestige. It made them lazy Community. Oh yes, and laziness breeds stupidity. Rest assured, I will not make the mistakes of my predecessors. When John Henry Eden builds a game, he builds it to last. The Community Way. Dont you, my darling Community, deserve that? Dont you deserve a game filled with war, and fear, and terrible uncertainty? Of course you do. As President of the Elder Scrolls, you have my solemn pledge. That I will never rest, never rest, until we have we have what we deserve. A game to truly call Home. Until we meet again, this is John Henry Eden, signing off."

Underrated post

Edit:

To the OP - I agree that in some places, a similar application of that in FO should be used; however, Skyrim is not meant to be quite as violent (in terms of enemies trying to kill you so often).

People are ignorant to what the OP is suggesting.. Its not like he wants all of Skyrim to look like a nuked wasteland, nor does he say anything about the Whole game having this feel..

He just points out that itd be cool if there was this feeling of loneliness, as some call it, present in Skyrim, it could be say, the vulcanic tundra which feels creepy and like the place is nothing but danger etc, no one said your fall forest would become a nuclear graveyard.

Skyrim won't have a happy vibe. It's the end of the world duh.. But you won't be lonely as much as Fallout, I believe people will be closer together right before an Apocalypse happens but after the War it's obviously a hard time and lack of people gathering (fallout).

I don't think it will have that feeling, except for the dragons perhaps.

You realize in a game where doom is impending it is sometimes relevant to have feelings of dread and discomfort? It shouldn't be everywhere like it was in FO3, but stop pretending the moods are entirely inappropriate for a TES game.

This is TES not fallout. I personally want a happy feeling while traveling through Skyrim.

This for the most part. There are a lot of creepy dungeons though, for which I am greatful for. God, I can't wait for Fallout 4.

you are comparing two completely different worlds. but i understand what you mean you want that sense of danger. bears trolls sabertooth tigers and all the rest are waiting to get you out there. i personally want to be amazed by the beauty of the environment and eventually be on guard due to random surprise attacks.
