Magic or Archery

Post » Mon Oct 17, 2011 6:16 am

Ive been thinking since my last Q i have decided that using both archery and magic wont work out very well (being average with everything can create problems against high level enemies) and i was hoping someone could sway me one way or the other...the magic looks awesome in this game, but with the revamped archery system and the new damage which makes it more deadly archery could be a one shot kill in many cases...im already decided on one handed sword with a shield...

If i use a bow i wont use any destruction magic obviously (couldnt keep both powerfull enough at high levels to make it worth it) but i plan on using retoration magic nomatter what (i refuse to make or buy potions).

Tell me what you think...

Also what type of armor should i use, heavy or light

Also how is conjuration going to work in skyrim (same?)

Magic all the way, though I really like the animation of the bow now so probably both in the end.

Just use both, but i would go magic first for the fact you can summon bows. I am going warrior first, than Archer, than Mage.

My first character will use magic, scimitars and long swords and if there are no scimitar models in the game I'll probably add my own at some point through the Creation Tool and 3ds max and make them as balanced statwise as possible but I digress. My second character will be a rogue bow user that uses utility magic and stealth.

I'm not sure what you should be I guess it's all about what you like more do you like being a stealthy rouge/hunter or a Mage that burn people and makes their dead bodies into skeletons? lol but I probably will play a battlemage with a longsword if not just a fully fledged mage... now that i think of it i'll probably be a fully fledged mage with a sword for backup/last resort

Create your own class that's a combination of arching and magic! Maybe use lots of illusion or alteration spells to give you the edge when using your bow
