Demo Glitches and Bugs

I understand that Bethesda Studio is working their hardest in to find and remove glitches. I also understand that Bethesda Studio will keep in some glitches for the purposes of entertainment. While I do not want to seem like a person stuck on minor details of the game I can not get over the fact that some glitches will stay in a game that I have payed good money for. However, I can not just speak for just myself when I say this; I think this is a concern for many other gamers that have waited in anticipation for this game to be finally released. I have seen the same demo played by various gamers and the experience for each was different every time. It was in this one video where i really understood how the game's combat was going to happen. While the range of low, mid and high attacks from the front and most definitely the back were not at all that impressive, It was good how characters' weapons had some sort of weight to them when attacking enemies, although, that was not new information for me. Combat is similar to Assassin Creed sequels in which you can perform a combo of attacks but sometime the attacks do not follow the direction of the enemy and the character continues the combo regardless of the enemy's position.

In this demo the character fought three other NPCs at the top of a mountain near a broken down tower. Two of the NPCs held short ranged weapons and one other NPC carried a bow with arrows. One word to describe the movement of NPC would not be sketchy but it could use some improvement, and I think something could be done to make movement more fluid. Now, the important and worrisome glitches that I saw in the game was when the character attacked a NPC in the corner, the NPC began to float in the air as the character battered her down in the corner. Not to mention, the NPCs limbs went in and out of the solid wall as she was being attacked. In fact, at the bridge attached to the tower the character was fighting a NPC and at times the character's foot went inside the bridge and the arms went in and out of a solid object as the character was attacking the NPC.

List of glitches and bugs in demo:

  • Rigid side to side movements when attacking
  • Limbs in solid wall/objects
  • Limbs sinking underground

Yep, the only difference is no link to the video in question. The forums today seem to have quite a couple of people trying to assert their opinions.

But as to the topic at hand, a lot of people will be pretty forgiving to these minor glitches, which likely have been fixed already anyway, or will be in time.

I am sure they're doing all they can to get rid of as many bugs as possible. However, considering the scope of the game, it's not realistic to ask to have all bugs and glitches fixed on release, unless we want to wait another year or two. Most bugs are probably unknown until the huge mass of players gets their hands on the game and try out all the different options and loads of stuff that the devs might not have time or even thought of checking, and many can also be dependant on your gaming setup :>
