Gaint insects! (Yay or Nay?)

Post » Mon Oct 17, 2011 3:59 pm

Okay, the confusion between arthropods is fine. Who cares if a spider is an arachnid and not an insect? Both classes are gross, exoskeletal, have mandibles, too many legs, creepy eyes, and are little bastards. The distinction's more annoying than it is necessary. Arthropods are gross. All of them. Including crustaceans. Big ones are worse. Don't be jerks about this.

You want to see http://shimmyshewobble.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/giant_centipede.jpg but even bigger? :cold:  I'm scared.

That thing looks badass! I would totally fight a giant version of that.

Calm down. We're just correcting some people in case they don't realize the difference. Besides no ones being a jerk about it, I don't know why your getting that idea.

Ya know, if the next Elderscrolls takes place in Black Marsh, I can totally see there being a lot of giant bug enemies.

Any new menacing hostile creature to slam on the ground is great. With mountains, slamming to the ground will be even better. So, absolutely 100% great enormous gargantuan sure confirmation of yes!

Okay, it wasn't my intention to accuse others of jerkdom, or to be a jerk myself, it just seems like biology-nazis are just as bad as grammar-nazis. Maybe nerdier.

Yes, if it fits in with the environment. Morrowind had some, like silt striders and giant beetles.

Spiders are not insects.

Took words right out of my mouth.
They are actually more related to crabs.

Anyway, I really hope for some cool insect based monsters.
I personally love insects (like I do every living and nonliving thing on this planet, except humans - no, I'm not a hippie).

No, not like star ship troopers anyway. Though that would make for a hilarious and epic mod.
