About the new previews

Post » Mon Oct 17, 2011 9:34 pm

I've been staying away from any new previews, hands on and so on for a while now. Don't think much info has been released anyway since then, but now with these brand new previews, it's hard to stay away, but i will. I just want to know if it's all positive or if they mentioned some real big downers too? On another forum i read a quote from one of the previews saying that they were in a forest, and there was alot of aliasing on the trees and stuff, in the Xbox 360 version. It wasn't a very big deal, but they did notice it. I didn't see any of that during the E3 demos, so i wonder what they are talking about.

Anyway....in short...do these previews make you anticipate Skyrim more and more?

They have been overwhelmingly positive. Some minor issues here and there from personal experiences but they have also been writing these previews based on a pre-beta build.

A few had some minor nit picks here and there but nothing major in my eyes.

No alarms sounding....

Pre-beta? Damn....why not the current version that is practically finished? The one Beth's QA played? Ah well...i'm sure if a delay was to happen, they'd had announced that by now.

Yeah, no chance of a delay, but they are still tweaking the last TINY TINY bits and pieces on the full game (balancing weapons/level rates, ironing out the last of the big bugs) which is why they haven't shown the full version or allowed it to be played, and the one they showcase the pre-BETA because it was designed especially for hands on and previews.

Ah that makes sense, so they really are doing everything to get the game as less- buggy as they can, i apreciate that. Not that i had lots of problems with Oblivion or Fallout, though.

There's not too many spoilers in the just released stuff, just a few random titbits. One or two have place names in them but I've just read them all (bout 23 ish) and couldn't for the life of me remember the specifics enough to find them in my own game when I get to play.

since we don't know what hardware (in this case the TV, or how it was connected up) it is hard to take this without a grain of salt. Especially as artifacts are not mentioned rarely. Plus, we don't know what build they were demoing. Early builds were rather rough.
