Pruning Mod List

MMM Manual - "Slof Horse Complete: Do not use with Slof Horses.esp or Extra.esp has these plugins features have been intergrated into MMM version which bring compatiblity between to and adds fixes many compatiblity problem that existed between the two. Faction, inventory items, and much more. See Creature Section for more details on Slof Horse in MMM."
So that answers that question. I'm assuming I'll still need to install the textures/meshes.

Nowhere in the MMM readme material does it say you should install the textures and meshes. I would not make an assumption like that.

WalkerInShadows-

that is impressive. I know I cannot run FCOM, QTP3 and OBC - that would grind my computer down with just 4 cell changes.

I've got a gig vram, 8 gigs DDR2 and realize that my bottleneck is my CPU (quad core 2.66) ... so what is your CPU?

A purge cell buffers mod/tool might help you there. I am using Quarn's "Purge Cell Buffers - Loading" mod for that, and it works very well. RAM usage rarely exceeds 1 GB. I recommend it.

OH yeah I've tried a few. I currently use Kuertee Auto Save and Time which has a PCB that you can set on a timer. I also have merged into another mod a small mod called Delete button PCB which does that when you hit delete (if you notice sluggishness you can do it yourself without having to open console).

Lazy PCB also looks more configurable. May try that at some point. Using OSR is the single biggest help. Recently I used the 4gb enabler on my exe and in combination with OSR has made a big difference. I'd used the 3gb enabler before OSR was out and was not impressed.

There was a thread about it recently - I posted a link to that thread in teh TOPP thread.

Also a factor is the 250 active mods, the 100 or so merged mods in bashed patch, the replacers for everything from skin to potions -that all adds up. But OBC was the absolute killer in my set up. I probably could play with it at the sacrifice of many other things.
