Super-speed

I always liked the prospect of hunting in Oblivion but it never really felt right. I'm hoping that hunting is more a viable option for us role-players in Skyrim. The one thing that really took away from hunting in Oblivion was the fact that we could run along side, and just as fast (if not faster) than deer. Does anyone know if this has been toned down? This is one area that I wish was part of a survival or hardcoe mode (which is not in the game). I'd still like to role-play hunting every now and again but if I have the ability to out-run a deer, I might just pass.

Acrobatics and Athletics are out so that should make it so we don't run as fast when we level up, but there is a shout that will let you boost speed and you can sprint but it drains stamina, so i think that we won't be able to outrun a deer anymore, plus there probably harder to sneak up on now as well.

Using a shout (whirlwind sprint) is fine. But it won't allow us to run along side a deer, while swiping our sword from side to side.

Too fast in Oblivion? Pish posh. If anything we couldn't run fast enough. In Morrowind my dunmer was a vampiric blur of death that could leap tall towers in a single bound. I missed being able to do that in Oblivion.

No, and i think the running is default like you don't get faster its just there, but for the sprint if you have more stamina you can run faster but they most likely tweaked it so your not running at the speed of light constantly.

Its one thing if you're a vampire or a beast race like a Kajiit, but I play as an imperial and I don't want to be able to run that fast.
