Oblivion freezes after opening logos

So, i've installed some mods today:
  • Addons for Midas Magic
  • Some music packs
  • Dark Darnified UI
  • Early crash prevention
  • Imperial Guard Overhaul
  • Icons for Ayleid wells and Stones


But now Oblivion won't start beyond the opening logos. the only way i could have conceivably screwed anything up was uninstalling the original Darnified so i could install Dark Darnified, but i tried reinstalling Original Darnified and it didn't make a difference.

I've also tried disabling all the ESPs i added and deleting the music packs, but that didn't help either. Running BOSS also did nothing!

Check your fonts in the Oblivion.ini under "My Documents/My Games" DarNUI installs some custom fonts, and if the Oblivion.ini references a font that doesn't exist in your "Oblivion/data/fonts" folder, then the game will crash right away.

Your load order is a bit of a mess. Get BOSS and run it to sort it better, that may be all you need.

I've been running BOSS religiously to no avail. i'll try the font thing, Showler. i selected the default font, though...

Any chance you can post your active mod list from Wrye Bash? It looks like you've got a lot of redundancies in your load order and BOSS doesn't filter out inactive mods.

Off-hand I'd say you haven't read through your BOSS list in order to take into account it's suggestions.

There are several redundant mods active, you have an old version of OOO and an old version of MMM. Those should be updated.

You are completely missing MMMforOOO.esm file, you should have the Living Economy SI version installed (or better yet, Enhanced Economy), you shouldn't have MMM.esp and you shouldn't have both versions of Cyrodil Travel Network installed.

Not old, but there is a 1.34beta5 patch available that is better integrated with MMM. In fact, the current version of MMM (3.7b3) requires it, I believe.

Thanks for the help, i'm getting .34ʙ5 Right now and i'll finish up cleanup soon. what i don't get is that i don't have MMMforOOO but i have Martigen's Monster Mod for OOO.

Just shorthand on my part. There should be a Martigen's Monster Mod for OOO.esm and a Martigen's Monster Mod for OOO.esp file. You'll need both.

Hmm, the updater for OOO doesn't list 1.33, should i choose 1.3?

Updated OOO, downloading updated MMM OMODs now and disabling redundancies on par with what BOSS says to do.

I believe you have an old version of boss's masterlist. I'm quite sure that the latest sorts many of those mods.

Okay, getting the rest of the MMM stuff i need now. i also updated BOSS and Ran it. Sorry i took so long to reply, i went to the Chicago Auto Show with some friends yesterday.

EDIT: Okay, i completely erased my OB install and am starting fresh. now then, i've just got to reinstall BOSS, Wrye Bash, OBMM, OBSE, the official plugins, and...All the other mods >.>
