So. Dragons are considered a boss monster, does that mean there is a limited number of them before your supply runs out? You obviously don't need to worry about this on a PC, but until they let you do mods on a console that would really svck.
I'm hoping if there is a limit i t would be like oblivion gates in oblivion. There weren't unlimited oblivion gates but there were enough of them that I explored the whole world and never felt like I didn't think I needed more. I found all the gates after pretty much exploring the entire world.
Unless they have changed things, there is no limit to the number of dragons. Some will be guaranteed spawns, for story purposes. The rest will spawn just like any other creature (but with lower spawn chance).
You will kill it and then it will spawn somewhere else. Maybe not the same kind maybe it wont be ass soon as you kill it but i think this is whats going 2 happen

I'm sure they fly around, and go out of their spawning area so you can't exactly predict where they are.

That's because they were boring and 3 of them was enough.
I'd like the option to get rid of them if I so choose.
I can understand the appeal of wanting them around and i'd hate for that to be taken away from the people who want to continue fighting them but personally i'd like the option to get rid of them if I personally want to.
Only because I accidentally killed a Mage's Guild member while testing a new spell, so I had to go in to get the 20 hearts. I that process I got the sigil stones.
Dragons are unlimited because there are 2 types. Scripted dragons (story line dragons) which there are a finite many and unscripted (random encounter dragons) which are infinite. The scripted should be stronger than the unscripted but it has been stated that you could potentially fight 3 unscripted dragons at once.
There were only 5 or so planes of Oblivion weren't there? I ended up doing all the variants so many times with my main character (because I didn't realise they'd keep respawning - ended up doing about 20 in a row before I got bored, because I wanted to close them all) that I learned the routes, so I'd just run straight through to the sigil stone (saving before I grabbed the stone and reloading till I got the right enchantment).
