Just a random thought

Bethesda MADE a whole new engine for this game... we honestly could be looking at a completely different game than ever before.

I mean i know that the previous games are what these will be based off of, but visually and even gameplay wise we literally have no idea whats in store for us

To answer your question, we haven't seen any footage or screenshots of the game yet so we have no idea what the game will be like technically. All we can speculate on is the actual design and features of Skyrim at this point.

I too have thought about this, and in fact I'm a little concerned that the whole atmosphere of the previous elder scrolls would vanish. Especially I am talking about the characters which I'm afraid will look complete different, in a more new fashioned way.
But then when I come to think harder... The characters in any elder scrolls game were REALLY not great looking, so maybe thats a benefit..

If I had to guess I think we are going to see something magical.

It's another world.

On topic: I think it'll be magical, as said before.

I too think this new engine will be great. Seeing as it has been made specifically with TES in mind, I think it'll be amazing once we finally see it in action.

This discussion is pointless. Unless we see a screenshot, we cannot say ANYTHING about the engine.

We havent been talking about it because we aren't sure what they modeled the engine after, it likely has heavy influence from the Gamebryo engine. We will see once we get screenshots and videos.

I for one have said out loud this in my posts.

For one it means they can build it to suit what ever needs they have and make the limitations of the engine be what they don't need to have or what they cannot make.

This discussion is pointless. Unless we see a screenshot, we cannot say ANYTHING about the engine.

We can. Without doubt it will support open world. They are building the engine for Skyrim. We can also say that there's reason that they decided to make new engine. They wanted to get rid of the crashing glitches their old engine was plagued with, from Morrowind to New Vegas or they had ran into the limits of what the engine can do and it was getting in the way of what they wanted to do.

So...why aren't we talking more about one of the factors we know the least about in this game we know nothing about?
