Which mods are modifying the Arcane University?

Hi everybody,

I am planning a mod that will contain some modifications to the interiors and maybe exteriours (i.e. the courtyards) of the Arcane University (a few new doors, interior cells and NPCs).
Therefore I am trying to get an overview about the more popular mods that are currently doing the same, just to avoid as many conflicts as possible in advance.
Until now I know only of the changes applied by Better Cities.
Are there others that I should take into consideration?
Any "magic mod experts" here that can give me some hints?

Just do a search for "arcane university" on TESNexus. I turned up 17, about half of which are actual cosmetic mods (the rest are minor tweaks or such).

Yes, you're right, of course. I should have been more precise: I was thinking more about mods like magic overhauls etc. that are also modifying the AU (but don't have it in their mod name).
I also forgot to mention that I am already aware of Midas Magic as well (which adds Midas' store to the outer courtyard).

In addition, I think I'll dare to focus only on mods that are compatible with the most famous overhauls (like BC, OOO UL etc.). Anything else should probably be neglected unless I want to run into an amount of work.

So just to avoid being bashed for not having searched myself ;) - These appeared to me to be somewhat relevant, so I'll be able to check them myself (partially done already, maybe someone can add some more information):
  • Better Cities (of course, most of all!)
  • Midas Magic (only minor changes)
  • Arcane University Revamped
  • Arcane University 300 --> incompatible with BC, OOO and The Orrery
  • Arcane University Mages Retreat
  • Arcane University Revamped
  • Reapers_arcane_University V_4
  • impeREAL Unique Districts Arcane university --> I assume that this has long been integrated into BC, hasn't it?

I don't know whether you care for non-english mods but there is a great German mod "Verbesserte Magiergilde" (Mages Guild Improved) that changes a lot in the Arcane University.

Not a "popular mod" but I add a basemant to the Practice Rooms in my http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26343 - it wouldn't surprise me if a number of other mods do similar things, as there are only a couple of basemants among the half-dozen buildings with apparently similar layout.

WillieSea has his clock mod, if I recall correctly, that has caused problems with the AU and compatibility in the past (minor I think, a door not lining up right or something, wasn't a huge issue I don't think). Just adds one clock in front of the central door (in the inlay in the ground there).

I also seem to recall that modder who went bonkers over bad and dirty edits had a mod that modified the AU, I don't recall what it was called though.

Actually, ImpeREAL Unique Districts is still going strong as a viable alternative for those who don't want to invest in the rather more dramatic changes of BC. (Or maybe they don't have a computer powerful enough for BC.) In fact it (the "all the districts combined" version) had an update in the not too distant past. But yes, ImpeREAL Unique Districts is also incorporated into BC.

Has anyone mention Origin of the Mages Guild. I think that was the standard for Mage Guild overhauls, though it seems to have fallen somewhat out of favor these days. Pretty extensive changes to the Arcane University with that one.

Integration: Stranded Light adds a bedroll and a NPC who lives in the AU outer courtyard. But it works fine with BC.

Isn't there a mod on the Engineering Guild that modifies something at AU (Not sure, Elder Council, or another)? Someone with experience with those mods, please post.
Decrepit has it right, it is Origin of Mages Guild.
