So I just looked at...

Post » Wed Oct 19, 2011 6:39 am

So I just looked at my Google Calendar after adding an all-day event for Skyrim on 11.11.11. Right next to it on the calendar is another all-day even on Thursday, 11.10.11. It's a recurring event that happens every two weeks, which I have labeled with the perfectly descriptive title of "Payday"

Yes, this will be good. I'll know for sure on this coming Saturday about my work schedule for the week on 11.5 to 11.11.11, but I've requested to work late 11.10 and have 11.11 off, and my boss sees no problem working that in. I wonder if I could have gotten 11.12 - 11.14 off as well... but I'll have to see about that, that's on the following week's schedule since the work week starts on Saturday at midnight.

OH and I just realized I'll have an extra hour on that paycheck. 65 hours instead of 64. AWESOME! :D

Doesn't apply because both the PC and PS3 pre-orders of Skyrim at Gamestop are paid off already, it doesn't really matter if payday is close or not for me.

I only have 2 paydays left before launch. Skyrim is that close  This Friday, and a week before launch.

My wonky paycheck can come on any day between November 7 and November 18, so who knows?
Anyways it doesn't matter since I have enough saved up already.

Actually I sold some old silver coins I had and used the money to pre-pay it with my pre-order. Those coins weren't doing anything for me anyway.

You guys in US get the money more then ones a month?

Here in Sweden its usually just ones a month you get your money. And that's around the 25th each month. Just before every bill is needed to be paid.

Not just in the U.S. most jobs here in the UK pay out on a weekly basis as well.

Depends on the job here. Some pay every month, some pay every 2 weeks.

I get paid my student loan three times per academic year, but this doesn't affect whether I buy Skyrim or not. I already saved enough money from my birthday to pay for it, and I've hidden the money away nice and safe until then. A different game will probably be eating into the student loan instead. I figure everyone else I know blows their loan on alcohol and since I don't/can't drink I'm entitled to spend mine on games instead.

I saved up enough from working over summer until I get back for my winter break. Forgot the day of release was veteran's day so I'm thinking of changing my preorder from amazon to gamestop.
