Interaction with objects

Post » Wed Oct 19, 2011 2:33 am

Hello I am new to this game.
This is maybe a little bit silly question but; Can we sit on the chairs in this game? You know...for the roleplaying purposes ^_^ especially after killing and exploring stuffs around, my char "gets tired" and wants to spend time sitting and drinking, maybe playing cards in some Inns or owned home in Skyrim. Not big deal if there is not but still... And sorry if this question was already asked.
I have searched but then I am noob in searching maybe I missed topic which was already made about it long time ago. Cheers and Thanks for answers!

I believe you can, you could in Oblivion and I doubt they would take something that simple out.

Yes you can. More so, you can move objects around and trigger traps etc...

From one of the released previews:

"I stepped into a pub late at night to get some needed shut eye. There was a bonfire in the middle of the room with benches around, so I took a seat. Once I sat down, a woman I imagined was the owner yelled at a nearby barmaid to take my order. The woman came by and asked if I wanted anything. How nice. I took a couple of ales and drank them by the fire"

Quote from one of the released previews....again:

"After one particularly testing brawl, I quaffed all the alcohol I'd looted and spent the next moment or so in a murderous stupor, flailing a steel Greatsword at hazy shapes in helmets"

May I ask for the link to the preview if you still know where it is?,

You were not able to sit in Morrowind. There was a big commotion on the TES Forums, because there in Morrowind were all these many chairs, yet noone ever used them... In Oblivion chairs could be interacted with, though, so I guess we'll see it in Skyrim too.
