There's many a man hath more hair than wit!

So I was straying away from my usual choice for all-things-racial-and-cosmetic, the Race Balancing Project, for something closer to the spirit of vanilla. In fact, I've used it for so long I've forgotten the other options out there, at least in regard to cosmetics. I've already chosen a mod that overhauls the play style of the races (TRAP), though I'm open to any mod you might recommend that, like RBP, affects both the races and available cosmetics. But keep in mind, since I'm trying to keep close to the "vanilla spirit", I'm not too keen on adding new races.

In any case, I'd like a mod(s) that expands my cosmetic options, but doesn't take it so far as to become tacky. I'm definitely not a fan of the "salon" hairstyles, but I'll take anything that looks medieval or low-fantasy in origin, or fits in well with the TES world. As far as eyes go, I'm pretty open for just about everything. As far as earrings/nose-rings/tattoos go, I'd have to judge case by case. And, as always, if the mod expands the cosmetic options to the NPCs, so much the better!

Now, is there anything you would like to recommend?

I agree. I mean, it's like everyone just went with all of those horrid looking animu ~uguuuuu hairstyles instead of actually making more that fit with the game. I can't even see the appeal, most of them are so long they clip terribly.

But I digress, that's just my opinion. As for a recommendation, I think that Capucine's Character Expansion has several new hairstyles, but most of them are vanilla hairs unlocked for all of the races.

Good luck with that! I gave up long ago. COBL Races is a nice alternative to RBP as the hairs are not as 'fun' as RBP. Other than that, post in here if you find something good :)
