Skyrims ending plot : V

I was wondering if the main plot of line of Skyrim, like Fallout 3 if completed would i be able still to carry on exploring and picking up other quests ? i waited for the GOTY FO3 so it never happened to me but plenty friend's where annoyed when completing in 10 or so hours then unable to carry on .
I know it sound's trivial but i would like a game that i could complete the main plot line then carry on wondering around.

If you've ever played a TES game you can always continue after the MQ.

The game never ends. You can play til your hearts content.

Ahh thanks i did play Oblivion but never finsihed it, i actually never liked the whole closing the Gates thing

.. now dragon slaying that's different!

lol wtf you ever finished it? ou should do that before skyrim my friend. Oblivion is a great game, and you only have to close 3 madatory gates to beat the game
