Are there Elder Scrolls books?

Post » Fri Nov 18, 2011 6:25 am

I started with OB and it was fun and I liked it alot. Skyrim is a game that has taken my interest in the Elder Scrolls to another level.

I was wondering if there are actual books out there that tell of the history of this world or maybe some important historical events that was made into a book...Something for me to read while I'm at work. :whistling:

Thanks,

Crab

Lord of Souls: An Elder Scrolls Novel
and
The Elder Scrolls: The Infernal City

Their just not past guides or anything, there full stories set in the elder scrolls universe as far as i know.

EDIT: (Info about them from amazon
Lord of Souls: Forty years after the Oblivion crisis, the empire of Tamriel is threatened by a mysterious floating city, Umbriel, whose shadow spawns a terrifying undead army.

Reeling from a devastating discovery, Prince Attrebus continues on his seemingly doomed quest to obtain a magic sword that holds the key to destroying the deadly invaders. Meanwhile, in the Imperial City, the spy Colin finds evidence of betrayal at the heart of the empire—if his own heart doesn’t betray him first. And Anna?g, trapped in Umbriel itself, has become a slave to its dark lord and his insatiable hunger for souls.

How can these three unlikely heroes save Tamriel when they cannot even save themselves?

Infernal City: Four decades after the Oblivion Crisis, Tamriel is threatened anew by an ancient and all-consuming evil. It is Umbriel, a floating city that casts a terrifying shadow–for wherever it falls, people die and rise again.

And it is in Umbriel’s shadow that a great adventure begins, and a group of unlikely heroes meet. A legendary prince with a secret. A spy on the trail of a vast conspiracy. A mage obsessed with his desire for revenge. And Annaig, a young girl in whose hands the fate of Tamriel may rest . . . ."

Read Infernal City first. And they're not terrible, they're just not perfect.

I think the writer really makes the story gripping, although some parts can be a little... dunno. I would really suggest reading them, if not for the reading pleasure then for the lore reasons.
