TESVI setting

Post » Fri Nov 18, 2011 6:49 am

In which province would you like the next Elder Scrolls game to set? It's a tie for me between Summerset Isles and Black Marsh. I want Summerset Isles because I love the High Elves and the island would be a perfect sandbox to work with in the game editor, much like how TESIII Morrowind was designed. But I also want Black Marsh because it would give modders a whole new province expansion project to work on for the TESIII modding community. I'm betting Bethesda will pick either Black Marsh or Elsweyr since they wrote about the beast races in the two books, The Infernal City and Lord of Souls. I'm voting for Black Marsh.
Share your thoughts and where you want TESVI to take place.

I would like to see both Elswyre and Valenwood be the setting for ESVI.......together they are about the same size as Skyrim in most maps of Tamriel...either way I just hope it doesnt take another 6 years to see another elder scrolls game...

I chose other because I want Elsweyr, Valenwood, and Summerset Isle all in one. They're each too small for their own game, from the look of them, but together they would create the largest explorable area consoles have gotten for the series. Would be a good way to start the next gen systems.

If I had to place a bet, that's where they're going re the Thalmor. They're really setting that up for the next big thing.

I would like to see Elsweyr because I love Khajits and I dont like being one in Skyrim.

People being racist, noone to marry :(, Hopefully they add more Marriagble Khajjits to Skyrim.

valenwood, read a book in skyrim that they have "werevultures" and they have giant trees that migrate across the land... but in reality what i would want the most is to have morrowind, cyrodil and skyrim in one game, you gotta remember this will be in about 5 years processing power have quadrupled and new consoles will be out i think its not to much to ask =p

Processing power and the like may have quadrupled but you've got to remember that they are people at the end of the day and there's only so much story that can be told. I'd hate to have a massive landmass with the quests being so diluted. That's why I dislike the idea of 'ZOMG ALL DA PROVINCES!'
I'd love to see Black Marsh first and foremost though I do like the idea of combining Valenwood and Elsweyr considering their small size individually.

Well I would liked to have seen the next game in T'saesci but failing that Elsweyr; I want to see Rimmen which was supposedly built by T'saesci refugees in the Second Era.

I very much want to see Hammerfell again, and what they would do with the land. Overriding that desire though is one to see some non-human land. Argonians I would say.

No province is too small for a game, they can change the scale. The gameworlds never keep the same scale throughout the series.

I loved morrowind for how foreign and immersive the game was. I love skyrim, but I still think (for me) this is something the game does not have to that same extent.

With that I like the idea of any of the more unique/bizzare of the provinces. Elsweyr, blackmarsh, valenwood, and/or summerset isles all sound amazing to me!! :tes:

Black Marsh please. I want to explore the more alien, strange, and mysterious places. I want to see the Hist trees and experience native Argonian culture. To see them in their place of power and comfort, instead of seeing them as a downtrodden minority. Morrowind accomplished this beautifully for the Dunmer.

If not Black Marsh, then Elsweyr. We haven't seen any good bona fide desert climates in ES games except for Hammerfell in Daggerfall. And I don't want to go back to Hammerfell because I find humans boring and we already went there in Daggerfall and in Redguard (well, sort of).

I don't want to go to Valenwood or Summurset Isles because from all accounts they seem like just more Cyrodiil-esque bland traditional fantasy venues. Boooooring.

Let's see.
TES 1: All of Tamriel.
TES 2: Hammerfell and I think some of High Rock.
TES 3: Morrowind (Vvardenfell to be exact).
TES 4: Cyrodiil.
TES 5: Skyrim.
for TES 6: ????
I would like to see other places of Nirn that's doesn't boarder Tamriel, so I'd like to see Akavar or something.

Black Marsh is my favorite choice for 2 reasons:
1. Black Marsh itself, a dark, wet and alien place with weird flora&fauna and a lot of water and navigable canols (sailing in real time would enhance the gameplay greatly from my point of view)
and
2. The Argonians @ home, their culture, their tribes, their architecture, it should be amazingly different than what we've seen so far.
