"Charmed I'm Sure"

Post » Fri Nov 18, 2011 7:47 am

I was recently replaying Fallout 3 and while I was roaming around in Tenpenny tower I was hearing people say, "Charmed I'm sure". And somehow this stuck in my head because I remember that line being spoken also in DAO. Now I know Fallout 3 came out in 2008 and I know DAO came out in 2010.

But, has anyone else noticed this? Or am I crazy to cross reference these two?

I'm assuming you mean Dragon Age: Origins, I can't think of any other DAOs right now. Its a pretty common phrase, it has been used in many other places.

It's one of the default voices. Both male and female.
No reference here.
You sound like my friend who sees references in everything. Just because that guy just said "thank you" doesn't mean he's quoting James Bond!

So to your last question, that would be a "yes". :P

Wait a minute, people say "Thank You" without thinking of James Bond? What has this world come to?

Okay, that's from a commercial, but he did indeed see everything out-of-place and deja vu's as cultural references. It was pain to explain it every time why that one line he was so fixated on was coincidence, meant nothing, and we should move on.

It's a common phrase in real life.

Though I expect only the rich, posh people use it.

I mean rich, posh people everywhere in the world.

I never said this and never heard this in real life. But perhaps it is just because we don't speak english in my country.

Then, if some day I hear someone saying "charmed, I'm sure", I'll think it is a reference to YOU
