Would You...

Buy Fallout 3, even with "other games" Skyrim being released soon? This may sound unbelievable, but I have FO, FO2, FO:T, and FO:NV, but never bought FO3! So What do YOU think! Is FO3 still worth buying?

Yes, I've played them all and have had the most fun in FO3. YMMV though, if you really loved the other ones. FO3 is clearly a product of Bethesda and has a lot of openworld exploration and discovery that is not quest driven and is wonderful for some players (like me) and hated by others. If you are anticipating Skyrim because you played Oblivion though, and liked it, you will like FO3. It's a great melding of the Fallout feeling with what Beth does best.

Wow, you need to get yourself a copy of Fallout 3 now. The best playthrough is your very first playthrough.

I assume you have played Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics, some people have them yet haven't played them. Question, why have all the Fallout's but Fallout 3, why didn't you buy it when it came out?

If you love the Fallout's you already have, you might not get the same enjoyment out of Fallout 3. If you do buy it, you will know what all the talk is about.

Get the game of the year edition, I think its only like 20 or 30 bucks. Trust me one of the best gaming decisions you'll ever make.

Fallout 3 is by far my favorite Fallout game! So much stuff to do and so much more "end of the world" than there was in New Vegas :fallout:

Started from Fallout 1 and 2, I'd still buy Fallout 3. PC version only of course.

I would.

If something happened to my copy I would buy another.

I will probably play through Fallout 3 at least once a year for the rest of my life .

I bought FO3 for my PS3 when it first came out. A few months ago I bought the GOTY addition for my laptop so I could play with mods. It was more than well worth the $20.

Since I'm cheap (I only bought New Vegas a few months ago for $14 during a steam sale). Anyway, so it appears that everyone likes Fallout 3! Guess I'll get it ASAP! :fallout:

I too am considering buying this as it was recommended by a friend. I was looking for my B-lands fix until pt. 2 comes out in Sept. 2012 so I had decided to get Dead Island as it had a very similar player development and open world/side quest setup. but after 12 hours or so, the hack n slash got very boring, along with the quests. I'm now playing Rage which I do like a lot, just wish it had the player dev/skill tree of DI, but I see myself beating this soon, I'm about 8 hrs in and on the Liberate Capt. marshall quest. Skyrim is not really my type of game, not into the wizards, ghouls, and dragons thing. So thats when he told me bout FO3 and its similarities to B-lands....what you guys think?

Well considering you like Boarderlands, Fallout 3 (or New Vegas) would be great for ya, but it still has ghouls.

Anyway, just picked the the Fallout 3 GOTY edition, cant wait to wipe out some Enclave and BoS! :fallout:

It's definitely worth it. If you can, get the GOTY edition so you can have all of the expansion packs.

I've logged twice as many hours on F3 as any other game. I've had the most fun with it by far.

so I just ordered the GOTY FO3 for 360 for $20....any tips (especially for a beginner)? I just read the Gamespy Survival tips stuff, looks pretty good. Glad they say not to max out everything b/c ull waste a point if u find the B-head of that skill/perk. This is my first Fallout game btw. Just beat Rage so I needed a B-lands type of game fix (yes, I know this game is deeper though). Got BF3 but a lil disappoint with ATM, it still hasnt grown on me....
