This game came out in 2008 and its now the end of 2011. I know the Creation Engine exists and Fallout 4 will probably utilize it. But Fallout 3 looks great and I'm sure will be even better looking when 4 comes out.
Fallout 3 is a blast, I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Great fun. Interesting NPCs, quests and story. Love the 50's feel. I will keep my suggestions for Fallout 4 very simple and extremely basic:
-Larger open world area with greater detail and larger cities/more NPCs. Jobs or activities like Skyrim and an even richer economic system.
-More custom weapons. Finding schematics is a blast, and the range of custom weapons impressive. Expand upon this and offer even more.
-Armor/weapon degradation should remain for Fallout (since it is Fallout) but it should occur at a much, much slower rate than in FO3. Removing it may make the survivalist atmosphere a little less important.
-More lockpicks available. I appreciate the scarcity of lockpicks, but its a little to scarce imo. And I'm a thorough looter.
-Keep the hands on approach to looting. I love finding caps on a table or picking up items just laying about.
-More variety in appearance of building interiors/caves.
-Higher max level with a soft level cap. I maxed out at level 20 very early. I loved the perk system, should work great for Skyrim, too.
-Greater use of light from the Pip-Boy or a flashlight. Give light more meaning instead of minor effect on the environment. This could play and key role in building more of a creepy/crawly atmosphere in spots.
-Please keep V.A.T.S., and improve gunplay without going pure shooter. This is key and helps differentiate Fallout 3 from a shooter. Better gunplay but ALWAYS based of Skill of the Player Character.
-Wider selection of armor and upgrades with maybe some augmentation slots for power armor. 'Augmenters' would be terrific.
-Please bring back Mirelurks and Deathclaws.
Again, very basic suggestions, but wanted to provide feedback. Fallout 3 is a terrific game, I'm having a lot of fun.
