The only one from FO3 I'd actually want to see again (I wouldn't mind if other characters returned, it's just that I'm not so enthusiastic) is Desmond. Working with him for the main quest or for a series of side quests would be awesome. From all of the other games, it's either been long enough or I am completely satisfied with the character resolutions.

like how do u mean? different universe in which America wasnt racist against blacks but against communists and hippies. pretty much everyone acts liek everyone because out in the wasteland, no one is putting u down because of the color of ur skin...they doign it because of what u own that they want or who u are siding with.

Uh, what?

America was racist against blacks in Fallout's universe, the timeline divided between 1945-1968

Dogmeat, Colonel Autumn and Sergeant Benjamin Montgomery from Operation Anchorage

Dogmeat and Colonel Autumn are fine but Sergeant Montgomery was a fictional character made by General Chase for the Operation: Anchorage simultation.

Since he doiesn't even truely exist in the Fallout Universe it would make no sense.

I know, I loved working with him though and calling him "Benji" just after he's slaughtered Chinese soldiers. It'd be nice if they can find a way of shoehorning a character like him into a game, there must have been an real life soldier as an inspiration?

I would be a happy man if I never have to hear or see Three Dog ever again.

While FO3 and NV take places on opposite ends of the old US, have any of the characters endeared themselves to you enough to want to see them again?
Would you like to see certain characters from FO3 or NV (or even the originals) come back? If so who and why?

IIRC the lore says that Harold's tree (Bob) bore fruit; It seems plausible that it could produce seeds... What if those seeds, when planted, grew into semi-sentient trees with sporadic copies of Harold's memories and identity... In effect plant-clones of the original Harold that believe themselves to be Harold.

What if the original Harold actually settled somewhere back on the West Coast?

Bethesda's Harold is something I could live with being totally 'retconned' out as a bad judgment mistake.
