Question about 'Et Tumor, Brute?' quest and Arcade

Post » Fri Nov 18, 2011 3:27 pm

I have a question about the 'Et Tumor, Brute' quest and Arcade. I want to sell Arcade to Caesar, but I'm not sure if that is still an option for me;

- I already failed 'Don't Thread On The Bear' and am marked a terrorist by NCR.
- Arcade won't follow me unless I wear (NCR) faction armor.
- Caesar has invited me for a personal conversation, but I haven't spoken to him yet.

Is there still any way of getting Arcade inside the fort and selling him to Caesar? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

Bumb up your rep with NCR, because wearing NCR armour into the Fort is a no-no.
I was marked as a terrorist by NCR and was still able to keep my rep at Like or Idolized and Arcade would follow me, he never left my side until I visited the Legates Camp.
Arcade should be following you without wearing NCR armour as he supports an Indy Vegas.

Arcade will leave immediately and permanently if any of the following happens:
Spoiler

The player responds to one of his challenges with some variation on, "If you don't like it, leave."
The player enters the Legate's Camp in preparation to help Caesar attack Hoover Dam.
The player convinces the Remnants to support Caesar's Legion during the For Auld Lang Syne quest.
The player activates Archimedes I. (Diverting power to Archimedes II is not a problem.)
The player reports back to Caesar after assassinating Kimball. He will leave whether or not you are ready to move on to the final mission. He will stay as long as you don't report back.

NCR should have no sway on him staying with you, unless you are killing innocent civilians ?

Yeah, during the 'Et Tumor, Brute?' quest you talk to Lucius IIRC

Spoiler

If Arcade Gannon is an active follower, you have the option to sell him into slavery as Caesar's personal doctor (Karma loss), thereby completing the quest. To do so, have him wait outside Caesar's tent. Talk to Lucius inside.

There is no "right" way in a RPG, my way would be to fix the Auto-Doc, other might dislike Arcade and sell him, Profligates might just kill him during surgery or just out right and confes to Lucuis about it or use the speech check to escape.
Which one is the right one ?
