Mark II Stealth Suit

Post » Fri Nov 18, 2011 11:31 pm

I have completed the most of the X-13 quests. I have the boots, chest plate and gloves for the Mark II Stealth Suit. I have completed the basic infiltration course at the test lab. I notice there was a hood prototype for the Mark II Stealth Suit in the lab but could not find a working model? I notice when I sneak I don't turn invisible like you do with the Chinese Stealth Suit and am not sure if I am missing something?

Questions:

1) Is there a Mark II stealth hood to go with the suit?
2) Do you have to finish the advanced infiltration course to get the updates?

The suit itself cannot turn you invisible. It's bonuses, after completing all of the infiltration courses, cap at: +25 Sneak, +1 Per, +1 Agl, +20% crouching speed. There is no hood.

I would rant and rave about reading and listening, but I imagine it's kinda pointless.

Ok...I did the first three test but am having difficulty with the robot disable phase. I am not sure how to disable the robots? I sneak up behind them but there is no option like you normally get when you get to disable robots for real? i.e. no "disable robot (E)"

There should be a hood!!! I would have it like the hazmat hood that has night vision plus add internal binoculars

Ehh. What would be the point of having a hood? The Hazmat Suit has one because it's supposed to be self-contained, Power Armor operates on a similar theory, and so does Riot Gear. Combat Armor, Security Armor, and NCR uniforms have matching helmets to protect the head. The Stealth Suit Mk. II is A: a prototype and B: has no need for a hood with combat drugs such as Cateye available, since it is not intended for direct combat and does not need to protect the wearer's head.

When I got to that part of the infiltration tests, I had "Robotics Expert" so I dunno. You might be unable to disable them if you were detected beforehand.

Well there is a stealth hood on a manikin in front of the door to the test area. Both the standard stealth suit and the Chinese stealth suit have hoods. Like I said if I designed a stealth suit, I would have a hood which would obviously add to the 'stealthy' part (cover an exposed head) and it would have night vision and internal binoculars to aid in your stealth mission. :tops:

I do have 'robot expert' and have disabled many robots in the past. So I am unsure why I can't disable them now? When I sneak up behind them I do not get the option to disable??? I was unable to disable them and was only recently detected after over trying to get the 'disable' option to display.

I figured out how to disable them...not like I remembered when I did it in Fallout 3; was used to sneaking up behind and having the disable option automatically appear (in red). Anyway....still will push my idea for the stealth hood :lightbulb:

Since we're on the subject of the stealth suit- any idea how to actually take advantage of it without it consuming your entire supply of Med-X and Stimpaks for no good reason?

No. That's the exact reason I NEVER use the suit- it's like the Medic PA from FO3. It wastes all your supplies for no [censored] reason. I suppose leaving all your Med-X and Stimpaks at home and using Slasher, Battle Brew, and Food instead would work, but that's just a victim of idiotic design.

Same here, which is annoying. Otherwise, I'd love the Stealth Suit Mk. II. It's practically a set of light power armor.
