I dont have xbox live set up , as its technically problematic right now...even though I can get online.

That said , does anyone know how I can get the expansion addons for fallout 3 and fallout new vegas ?
I'm thinking it's maybe possible to download them somewhere and burn to disc , bypassing xbox live.

ps. Im not advocating piracy. I have both full games. I bought a fallout 3 expansion on dvd called "broken steel and point lookout" but its the only one i've seen on disc.
Is there anywhere to buy the expansions on disc ?
Ive seen there is an ultimate edition coming out that has all the expansions on , but I already have the two full games , and i dont want to , or need to , buy the full games again................just the expanssions.

Any ideas ?

ps.....what's a DLC ?

DLC = DownLoadableContent

It is smaller than an expansion pack and is just to offer you something new, many games offer DLC ranging from rpgs where you get weapon packs or something to FPS's where you get map packs.

For fallout 3 gamestop should sell all discs for their DLC like the one you have, just look around and you may find it. To install it easy, place it right in the disc drive play game, it will take you to a screen where you can dowload them.

Not sure about New Vegas, just connect to xbox live momentarily, you don't need xbox live gold, just silver. Then buy them off the market place.

I do want the fallout 3 / fallout new vegas DLC though , but i dont want to pay for xbox live just to get them

can't you get it with silver? just connect your xbox to the internet and you should be able to download them all

Sell your fallout 3 copy and buy the Game of the year edition, it comes with all the expansion packs and a full copy of the game, im sure you could find it at any place tha sales video games. As for New Vegas, you could go on xboxlive, or... wait until early next year for the Game of the year edition for New vegas, which will also come with the full game and all the expansions...

I can't believe I didn't think of this before. Go to gamestop and they should have a little area where a whole bunch of cards are for unlockables. Fallout New Vegas' DLC should be on there, otherwise try ebay.
