Why was talos banned on the gold pact?

The elves threw a fit that he was superior to their forces, so they banned his worship after they brought the empire to its knees, the actual pact was to allow the empire to remain.

Because Talos is a human and the Altmer do not believe that a human should sit with gods.


It pissed me off the first time I heard " May the 8 protect you" instead of the 9.
