Edit: While I still wouldn't mind knowing the information requested, I finally managed to get around the issue by running around picking up jumping and slow fall potions and managed to kind of just glide over the block that was making the bridge vanish. So...crisis averted.

Ok, first post here. You guys are my last resort.

So I've been enjoying playing some old games on DOSBOX and I'm tackling battlespire now.

Problem is, I'm at the end of level 4, trying to cross the rock sails to get to the end-level gate, and on the last stretch of bridges, when I jump onto the stone block before them, the bridges just vanish. I had already been across them once earlier in the level and nothing I'm finding in walkthroughs mentions this as supposed to occur. Unfortunately, I also see no mention of it in known bugs.

This is bad. I've really been enjoying my playthrough, but not so much that I want to start all over. I have a feeling crossing that bridge earlier in the level before finishing all the objectives might have triggered this bug if it is in fact a bug and I have no saves before I did that.

The only thing I can think to do to get around this is to manually edit one of my save dat files to place my teleport anchor across that bridge, so that's basically what I'm looking for help in.

a) does anyone know where in the dat files anchor location might be found
B) does anyone know how I could alter that information to play around with location.

or

c) tell me I'm stupid and that's supposed to happen and I just need to do something in game to bring them back.
