i was one of the few people who played this game competitive when it first came out. i played gamebattles and everything but the community was strong or big enough. i love competitive gaming but right now i just dont like the games that are out, and this is the first game to come out that even compares to halo 3. i would like to see if the competive community in this game could be revived. im pretty sure fragnation.com still has ladders up and running for this game all though as of now they are unpopulated.

hmm.. well i like this game very very much indeed, but i think reviving the competitive talk is somewhat to much to ask to be honest.

This game would be great for competitive gaming because it actually requires skill unlike most FPS games for example in Halo you can just pick up an overpowered weapon and own everyone but sadly crysis is an unloved child.

in my opinion you can't be competitive if the game have issues like the random suit enegy loss, the "maximum reload animation" when you try to change to sidearm if your rifle ran out of bullets, the lag issues, etc. there are to many "details" that harm your perfomance, so things like high K/D are more proof of luck than skill...

disagreed, i can also maintain a 3 kd or more with ridiculous lag issues. I do think it is skill, of course, luck is also a factor, but that is really with (almost) every game you play

again, it is not about luck, not entirely either way. I get scores from around 25-5 till 39-2. That is no such thing as luck. And be specific when you say 'little problems playing' Cuz my xbox was on the second floor wired to my laptop which had wireless internet, resulted in a two bar connection in almost every match. Still good scores. Now i know what your planning to say 'the lag helped you'. Nope, not long after that my laptop died on me, which left me without any connection upstairs, i got my parents crazy enough to move my xbox downstairs, connected directly to the modem. 3 till 4 barred connection every match, same results. Don't talk about luck with me bro, i had every problem you can think of.

1.- 2bar connection means that you don't know anything about lag, try playing outside north america.

2.- ok, is not all luck, but is enough luck involved to say that is a matter of skill, so competitive play? you wish...

don't worry 1 barred connection happened more than once to me, i told you, i have had anything you could possibly consider 'lag'. And this is going nowhere, these are a matter of opinions. Have a good host and it is about skills, not luck.

EXACTLY, that's why i started with "in my opinion" in my first post on this thread, so IN MY OPINION: competitive play on this game is a joke, get it?
