Still loving it?

So all the big shooters (BF3,MW3,GOW3) have hit stores I'm just wondering does anyone else still feel that crysis 2 is their faveourite shooter of the year?.....or is it just me? I've been playing BF3 and it is amazing but its still just not quite as fun as crysis for me. Hope this game doesn't see an early grave.

I love GTA. Saints Row will help me to ease the pain while waiting for GTA V.

Call of Duty needs a grave (although if I were personally in charge of it, I would not even afford it that luxury), and Battlefield is pretty awesome (waiting for December for the maps and... AIR SUPERIORITY), but overall Crysis is one of my favorite shooters along with Halo and Mass Effect. The only things wrong with it that actually affect me can't be fixed because they're part of gameplay- they can't simply remove felines and pummel rushing the same way Bungie or now 343 can't wish away Armor Lock and weak vehicles from Reach. The achievement glitches like Dedication I don't particularly care about; I know I'm dedicated, I don't need an achievement to tell me, and I've not experienced any of the other glitches that people talk about except for the blackscreen glitch (when searching usually in Onslaught with a squad it will find a game then suddenly bring the party leader back to searching and everyone else's TVs will go black; easily rectified by dashboarding, but still a little annoying). Anyway, that's my bit.

I personally thought that Battlefield 3 would be the doomsday for the multiplayer in Crysis 2. I was wrong. Then I thought MW3 would do it. And it didn't happen. I am glad. I haven't played since last week but I hope it still keeps going. I've been taking a break from Crysis since my friends gave me Battlefield and MW3. I've unlocked most of the things I wanted on both games so I can sit back and play less now. Halo also came out so me and some friends will be going back to it and playing the new maps every so often.

I've enjoyed MW3 a lot. It's back to gun on gun gameplay. I've died 90% of the time by a gun and not a helicopter or flying bombs or nukes or missles. The main problem is the campers. When I start dying a lot by them in a match I just dedicate myself to hunting these tent riding bastards down one by one. Like they sit so still they actually look like part of the background. It's amazing. lol

Crysis borrowed a lot from Modern Warfare for the multiplayer component and when I play MW3 I just wish Crysis 2 would had been supported more. It's amazing what a monthly change in playlists and special events can do for the community and the game. I wish they would had done double XP weekends on restricted playlists like Classic, or other less popular ones. It would had drawn a bigger crowd and kept things fresh. If Crytek decides to use "console investment" for Crysis 3 I really hope they are taking notes. Gears of War 3 and Halo: Reach have been some of the best supported console shooters I've witnessed. With weekend events, bonus xp for playing DLC, monthly updated playlists, and everything else they do. The day you start thinking that you've had enough of that game and would like to check something else out they throw out a special weekend event and draw you back in. They really do their best to keep you playing their game and not wander off.

I look forward to playing Crysis 2 again but after rebooting twice and halfway through my 3rd one the game is getting kind of stale by just playing the same 12 maps if I can make it through the rotation. Most likely something happens that I have to start the search again and end up on Skyline 4 times in one night. I still love Crysis, my PC wallpaper is an in game screenshot but right now I am going through all this new shooter content that has been released. And everytime I play MW3 multiplayer I secretly wish Crysis 2 was supported enough to keep most of the crowd it started with when it launched.

All in all it's nice to see that there are still Crysis 2 players in multiplayer rotation when the two games it sought to take players away from (Call of Duty and Halo) have already been released.

Gears 3 for me now, this game died a death of a thousand cuts. Tried MW3, fun for a couple of days then it gets boring, just picked up Halo CEA, the campaign is buggy (but it is ten years old and they've kept it faithful to the original) the six new maps are very good, especially when you play Anniversary modes.
