And how is that supposed to work? That quest you′re talking about has a bug but it was fixed. If you have the GOTY then you shouldn′t have that problem.

And fyi, this should have been in the spoiler section

It's not fixed on the PS3.

Im sorry guys, i took for granted you all knew about the bug on the PS3 and the only option i have for my case (GOTY US). And well... took for granted i was talking about PS3 ;)

My only option since i have the GOTY US Disc, is to get a regular version of the game.Since i cannot find anywhere this version (look at many rental options), i was hopping someone here has it and could help me out.

And Mirocu, please... try to not be so aggressive... my request is a nice one and i did not said anything that could kill the game for someone anyways :)

I didn′t mean to come off as aggressive  I may have dealt with some too obscure people here from time to time so I may be a bit rough, but I didn′t mean anything. Sorry for the misunderstanding :foodndrink:

Unfortunately I can′t help you more with this problem. Have you tried finding it on an internet store like amazon?

Well.. i assumed it was possible... i mean...i can backup savegames on an external HD, i thought i could just put it back on my PS3 any time i wanted.

I saw someone asking for the same as me on another forum and he got help; i assumed it was possible and thought i could ask for the same help! :)

As for amazon, i could buy it for 15 dollars, i was hoping to get some help first ;)

I'm of the impression that editing PS3 save files is a violation of the user license, or at least a gray area, and that it's kind of a no-no subject on these forums.

He's not talking about editing them. Just uploading the save file and giving it to someone else to play and get past the quest, and then sending it back to him.

That sounds just as bad. If not worse.

how on earth do you arrive at that conclusion, he is asking for help to work around a bug - a 'game breaking bug' at that.............a bug that bethesda should of fixed a long long time ago but instead decided to ignore all requests for help on the matter......hey screw our faithfull fans, they're all dumb enough to buy Skyrim and gives us all there money so lets not bother helping them.

Screw the end user agreement, when the games developers refuse to help then people like us should help instead.

I have to agree with that. We gave them money for a product that isn′t fully functioning. When I buy a game it′s supposed to work as intended, otherwise I can′t be faithful to that agreement

Because you're transferring the game from one person to another. Essentially and possibly coping the game. That can be mistaken for making illegal copies. I understand that is NOT the intent of the OP, but putting that info out, to a complete stranger, has the potential for some adverse effects.

@ OP: What you need to do is contact Beth, directly via email, and send THEM ( NOT an individual ) your game file. Go to the "main page", select "support", then select "email". Most game devs, will handle similar "game breaking" bugs this way. I see no reason for a company of Beth's caliber to be any different.

might i suggest you actually read the OP's post.. he is not transferring the game to anyone, he is simply transffering the save file.

Right, yeah - none of us had the presence of mind to actually try that, wich part of Beth don't care are you struggling to accept?
We have spent years asking them for bug fixes and got nowhere because theres no money in it for them so sod the end user.

I have the original version and am happy to help our as long as I'm not breaking any regulations or rules. Also, I'm not all that computer savvy so you may have to walk me through the process of loading the file and stuff like that.

Anyways, Im cured... well.. not really since i have to wait 24hrs for the witch to produce the potion... but im almost there :)

Not going to say who did it, so he doesnt get unwanted amount of emails asking for the same help, but im in great debt :)
