A Quick question for a beginner

Hi there,

Basically I've just started playing around with the construction set, at the moment I just want to change the inventory of some NPC's - give higher level bad guys better weapons etc.

At the moment I'm trying to give Modryn at Chorrel fighters guild some better armour. I've loaded the Oblivion esm, found his inventory removed the iron cuirass and replaced it with an ebony cuirass then I've pressed ok and then saved it as 'Modryn Ebony'.

However, when I load Oblivion up - having ticked the ESP in data - he's still wearing the iron cuirass.

Could someone explain to me what I'm doing wrong?

Any help much appreciated

Cheers

the save you used, did you happen to already be in the same cell as that NPC?

if so, then try a save outside of there, or uncheck your mod, go outside, save, then recheck your mod and load the new save.

Oh, thats interesting. I have another beginner question, I didnt quite understand from the tutorial.

The oblivion.esm will always be loaded, as i understood, because its the basis.
But when i want to edit a mod, like another .esp, I just have to tick the mod,
the oblivion.esm will be loaded to, and when I save my changes, it will create a completely new .esp, which i will have to put in a lower/later load order to make it work?
