Crysis 1 looks better on consoles

so are the "water physics" "progressive desteuction" and "semi solid surfaces" demos for the GoW UE3...all "ingame" technically but still tech demos

The DX11 water in CryEngine 3 is actually better than the water in CryEngine 2, IMO.

But you ain't gonna get DX11 water on consoles. :)

*edit* btw I had mster config for Crysis 1, it was absolutely amazing.

Yes and again msters config is not a techdemo but just a configuration that modiefies the lighting and TOD in Crysis 1.

@ Mole:
Actually i dont really see what is "better" in Crysis 2s DX11 water... its not even transparent.

I dunno if there's videos that compare them, but the water in Crysis 2 DX11 just seemed to be more like how I would expect water in the ocean to be like. Like in the part of Crysis 2 on Liberty Island, if you swim way out, the ocean actually seems to move up and down in a more realistic manner. The water in C2 also has more sparkle to it under the sun.

Crysis 1 still has very impressive water, but it really doesn't have as much movement as the DX11 water in C2.

Overall, C1 is still the best looking tho.
