I downloaded CryENGINE from CryTek's site just now but when I went to extract the files AVG told me there were threats and I removed the infections, but I deleted the files anyway. Did I do something wrong? I mean I downloaded it from CryTek's dev site, why would it be infected? I want to get it, but I need this cleared up.

i dont know. I also have AVG security and the same thing happend to me so i dont know what to do. please post it here if you do find out what to do though..

What you need to is disable AVG's active shield in order For it to work.

no its not infected but AVG just thinks it is because of the encryption.

You should try updating your AVG definitions - there was a similar problem with AVG and Crysis 2, but updating your definitions fixed it. AVG was simply incorrectly identifying the install files as a threat.

There is definitely no viruses or anything malicious in the CryENGINE installer if you took it directly from one of our websites.

ive used it however as im not rigger etc i uninstalled but its completely safe.
