Why aliens from C1 & C2 are different? : Crysis

I can understand CryTek decided that fighting with these new aliens is more fun, but what about story's visual connection?

Aliens from Crysis 1 are robots, but aliens from Crysis 2 are real aliens with suits!

Aliens from Crysis 1 are robots, but aliens from Crysis 2 are real aliens with suits!
Maybe there are several species of Cephs.
In Crysis Nomad saw their "scientists" or engineers inside the mothership.
In Crysis 2 people fight against regular Ceph warriors, their soldiers.
