I just purchased C2 a few days ago and am playing through the story line. The first night I played it there were no problems at all... up until I exited the game. At that point it froze, stopped responding, and crashed. I didn't think much of it as I was tired and wanted to get to sleep.

Last night I went to play it for the second time. I log in and select to resume game. I see the loading screen with the slider bar showing it's loading. When it's almost complete it goes blank, stopped responding, and crashes.

I thought maybe it was a graphics issue so I loaded it again to check but everything is set to the lowest setting (High). And it worked just fine the first night with no stuttering or frame rate issues so I'm not convinced that's the problem.

My system is an Intel Core2Duo @ 3.0GHz, 4GB RAM, NVidia 9600GT w/ 512MB, Win7 Professional. Not exactly a beast of a gaming machine but the most intensive thing I've done with it for the last two years was WoW and SC2 so it didn't need to be a beast.

Reinstall the game, and delete your whole Crysis 2 profile folder! (C:\Users\UserName\Saved Games\Crysis2)
